Knight Boiler

We install high efficiency gas boilers that capture over 90% of the heat energy available in the fuel source. These boilers have very efficient heat exchangers that transfer energy from the hot combustion gases into the hydronic heating system. During the combustion process, fuel and oxygen combine to produce carbon dioxide and water vapor. Lower effiency boilers allow much of the hot water vapor to escape out the flue. High efficiency boilers extract heat from the water vapor by condensing it to liquid water and allowing it to run out of a condensate drain. Because of the presence of liquid water, the heat exchangers of high efficiency boilers are constructed from high grade stainless steel to prevent corrosion. High efficiency gas boilers offer many benefits that make them worth considering if you are building a new home or plan to replace your existing heating system.

BulletSealed Combustion
Sealed combustion appliances draw air directly from outdoors and vent their combustion gas directly outdoors, elimating any backdrafting or combustion make-up air issues that can arise with conventional boilers.

BulletVariable Heat Output
Fully modulating boilers automatically adjust their heat output to match the current heat demand, making them much more efficient than unmodulated units that run at full capacity whenever they are on. This adjustment is made automatically by the boiler control module, which monitors the incoming and outgoing water temperatures.

BulletMultiple fuel sources
High efficiency gas boilers can work with LP or natural gas as their fuel source.

BulletSimple Venting
Because high efficiency gas boilers have very low temperature exhaust gases, their vent requirements are much more flexible than conventional boilers. Plastic vent pipe can be run through an exterior wall close to the boiler rather than requiring expensive vertical venting through the roof. Using concentric vent pipes, a single penetration can supply the intake and exhaust vents, making the installation easier and cleaner.

BulletCost Savings
High efficiency boilers cost less to operate than conventional boilers. With fuel costs on the rise, it makes sense to invest in high efficiency appliances that reduce your future energy bills.
